How To Successfully Paint Laminate, Metal & Other “Hard To Paint” Surfaces

20 May

Good Morning Old Village Paint Friends!

Today we want to remind you that you CAN paint laminate, metal, plastic, vinyl and metal siding! Your simple steps to having a very successful end product:

  1. Clean the surface well.  Gentle soap and water with a sponge or clean rag are often the only tools you need.  If dirt is caked on, you might need something a bit stiffer, like a brush with bristles.  Don’t forget how handy a toothbrush can be for small spaces.
  2. Allow the surface to dry.
  3. Use Over & Under Primer. This quick-dry, water clean up primer will create a surface that your paint can “stick” to for years and years! Allow to fully dry.
  4. Paint with Acrylic Old Village Paint! You have so many beautiful, rich colors to choose from!
