Today we wanted to share some photos of primitive pieces created by Chuck and Kathy Moore, owners of The Country Cupboard and Nature Run Wood Works in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
Chuck and Kathy use Old Village Paint on their furniture because of the natural pigments in the paint, and the way the paints re-create the colors and feel of early American life.
This first photo is of a Ziders Cupboard. The cupboard is painted Planation Red while the inside top section is painted with an Old Village Paint buttermilk white. The interior is finished with a natural stain.
Next, a beautiful pie safe, modeled after those found in the US during the 1800’s. I love the tin detailing! This was painted Old Village Paint Black.
The last piece we wanted to share is a homestead table, painted Old Village Paint Loyalist Green. I can think of about four different places in my home where I could use this!
If you’d like to visit Chuck and Kathy online– you can find them here: http://www.thecountrycupboards.com or stop by either of their two shops in person! Tell them hello from Old Village Paints family.
Good wishes from our home to yours as we wrap up spring and move into summer!
