Primitive Spring Decor

4 Apr

Time for a little inspiration!  Here’s some beautiful spring decorating ideas!

This first arrangement is nice and simple, and I find it very calming.  I like that they’ve provided a variety of heights by putting the old birdhouse up on a simple wooden stool.

This is a colorful spring wall hanging.  I love the use of a ladder as the base of this arrangement.

This piece, a wreath displayed on an old window, has several unexpected details.  Notice the chicken wire instead of glass, and the flowers made of burlap instead of fresh or silk.

These adorable hand-sewn bunnies add a wonderful spring touch to a woven basket.  These two items may have been in separate parts of the house, and were brought together to make a nice spring arrangement!

The flower pot and spade turned this arrangement into a SPRING arrangement!

This wall or door hanging is so cute- I especially thought the sheep was a nice touch!

Many of us have pots squirreled away somewhere, they are excellent for decorating or organizing, or BOTH!

These little flowers look so happy and welcoming! I’d love to have this on my door.

I hope these primitive decorating ideas have got you thinking about how you can bring a warm breeze of spring into your home.  If you need paint for any of your budding ideas, we hope you’ll use some Old Village! It’s rich, historic colors add an unusual, long lasting touch!

Happy April! –Jenny

I have lived a long time and am convinced that God governs in the affairs of men. If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? I move that prayer imploring the assistance of Heaven be held every morning before we proceed to business.- Benjamin Franklin
