Barn Quilt

10 Feb

Have you ever seen a barn quilt?  Traditionally you can find them in the Northeast and Midwest, bringing color and beauty to the sides of old and new barns.  But more recently, more and more people are using them to decorate inside and outside their homes.

They are a georgeous way to add color to a great, big space.  Even if you don’t have a barn, you could create one of these for a shed, or a large wall inside your home.

Here are some of the different patterns you could choose from.

To make your own you’ll only need a few items.

1) Large piece of plywood.

2) Painters tape.

3) Paint! (Old Village Buttermilk, Vintage or Provence Paints will work wonderfully.)

4) Whatever hardware you decide on for hanging.

Now- let your creativity shine as you create something that you can enjoy for many years.
